How to Play Tilerdle

Tilerdle is a daily tile logic puzzle. Rotate and move the tiles so their letters line up across the connectors and spell the day's themed words — when every tile is in place, the board fuses into a single piece and the puzzle is solved.

Input

Controls

Drag a tile to move it. Tap a tile (without dragging) to rotate it 90°.

Tile state cycle while dragging: drop. While idle, tap to rotate.

Mechanic

1. Connectors

A dashed edge marks where one cell expects to meet a neighbour from another tile. Hints only fire on cells that sit on a live dashed connector.

The dashed edge between BAN and ANA means those two tiles are touching exactly where the answer wants them to.
Wordle-style feedback

2. Letter hints

Once two tiles meet on a dashed connector, every cell along that row/column run lights up. The leading tile is judged on whether it can start a word; the trailing tile gets per-cell feedback. Examples all use the answer word BANANA.

2.1 Green. Both cells on the connector are exactly where BANANA wants them — BAN leads the word and ANA sits in slot 2.
2.2 Yellow / gray. The left tile leads BANANA so its cells go green. On the right, N is in BANANA but slot 4 wants A — yellow. O and G aren't in BANANA at all — gray.
2.3 Red.The leading tile in a connection has to start a word. NA can't lead BANANA's row — pick a different tile to anchor here.
2.4 All green. The whole word is solved.
2.4 Horizontal. Words can also be solved on a horizontal connection. The above tiles lead a horizontal run of BANANA, so all its cells go green.
Win condition

Auto-merge

When tiles sit in the right relative positions they snap into one block with all green.

To avoid misleading rotations, the merged piece auto-rotates back to the puzzle's preset orientation. Keep merging until everything is one connected piece — that's the win condition.
