- A small, independent puzzle studio. We publish a fresh daily logic puzzle every day, host the back catalogue for subscribers, and try to keep the surrounding site quiet — no auto-playing video, no ad rail, no endless feed. One puzzle, well made, then back to your day.
- What's on the site right now?
- Two games, with more in the pipeline. Tilerdle is a tile-rotation word puzzle that scratches the same itch as Wordle plus a little spatial reasoning. Alibi is a cozy-mystery deduction grid — drag suspects and evidence into rooms, lock in the verdict. Both refresh at midnight Eastern.
- Who's making it?
- Knotwise Games is led by Shawn Liu — formerly a Senior Frontend Engineer at Alibaba (Alipay) and ByteDance (Lark), now working independently on daily logic puzzles. He works with a longtime designer who prefers to stay out of public posts — the visual identity of the boards, illustrations, and the casebook aesthetic is theirs. Every Tilerdle theme and every Alibi case ships from this two-person team. The team page has more on Shawn, and the inbox is the same one that answers your email.
- How do I pay (or not)?
- Today's puzzle is free for everyone, every day. A subscription unlocks the full archive — see the pricing page for the monthly and yearly options. Cancelling stops future billing immediately.
